Bert's energy was catching. After living with him in the same suite while writing the standards, for years afterwards we referred to each other as "roomies." What a great spirit he was and so fun to be with.

Goodbye Hank,
We will miss you forever. We're glad that we shared the good times that we did before you had to go away. The recollection of our many dinners together and pleasant conversations on a never ending variety of topics will always be a bright spot in my memory.
