Carole A. Palmer of Sanford, Florida was born December 4, 1937 and died January 23, 2021 at 83 years old. She was born in Hampton, Georgia and spent her life creating a loving home in multiple towns up and down the East Coast with her husband and children, before settling in Central Florida to raise her family.
An unconditionally-loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Carole will be remembered for her selflessness, compassion, kindness, joyful spirit, and faith in the Lord. She was a wonderful cook, hugger, listener, and friend. Carole loved nothing more than listening to music, enjoying a day at the beach, and spending time with her family. She was incredibly proud of her children and grandchildren.
Carole was the youngest of three children and was predeceased by her mother, Leona Tarpley; father, Joe Tarpley; step-mother, Hazel Tarpley; Aunt, Julia Fears; Siblings, Charles Ronald Adams and Merle Manders; daughter, Marge Scangarello; and grandson, Jason Golden. Carole is survived by her husband, Van Palmer; children: Cindy Paige, Joel Palmer (and wife, Rose), Kimberly Watchorn, and Doris Golden (and husband, Howard); grandchildren: Erin Palmer, Demi-Shay Watchorn (and fiancé, Harry Baker), Sean Palmer, Brooke Priestley (and husband, Dawson), Guy Scangarello, and Dana Golden; great-grandchildren: Brittany Scangarello, Guy Joseph Scangarello, Marissa Golden; and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.
A private service celebrating Carole’s life will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 994 E. Altamonte Dr., Altamonte Springs, Florida, on Saturday, February 13.
