

CDR. Charles K. Phillips Jr., D.C., USN (Ret.), 90, of Altamonte Springs, FL went to be with his Lord on March 28, 2017. He was a loving and beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Charles was born to the late Charles Sr. and Martha Phillips in Denver, CO on September 7, 1926. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Naval Dental Officer. Charles retired from the service with the rank of Commander after over 26 years of dedicated service. He was married to his late wife, AnnaBelle, for 58 years prior to her passing in 2013. Charles was a spirited, fun-loving man. He had a thirst for knowledge. Charles was a jokester, and he talked to anyone he crossed paths with, wanting to learn all about them and their lives. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing bridge throughout his lifetime. After retirement from the Navy, Charles went to Christian school to learn about all different religions. He also served as the president for Habitat for Humanity. Charles was known for his love of animals. He was a devoted member of St. Marks Presbyterian Church of Altamonte Springs, FL. Charles will be deeply missed by those who knew and could not help but love him. He was preceded in passing by his wife, AnnaBelle. Charles is survived by his children, Cynthia Kaleita and her husband Gary and Deborah Phillips and her husband Steve Bulger; his granddaughter, Alana Walker; his sister, Peggy Jenson Easton; his great-grandchildren Trey Walker, Charlie Walker and Addie Barkley; his caregiver, Deborah Justice; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703. Memorial Service will follow at St. Marks Presbyterian Church, 1021 Palm Springs Dr., Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.
