

Claude Duncan, 91, of Longwood, FL went to be with our Lord on July 10, 2015. He was born to the late Earl and Mary Ellen Duncan on January 12, 1924 in Packard, Kentucky. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during WWII aboard the USS Altamaha. After being honorably discharged, he went to work for the Winter Park Railway Express. Claude graduated from Lyman High School and from Stetson University, both with honors. He and his late wife, Eloise, were married for 25 years. Together, the two loved to garden and participate in church activities. Claude was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longwood since he was 7 years old, and served there as a Deacon for 65 years. He deeply loved his family and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Claude was preceded in his passing by his parents; his wife, Eloise; his brother, Clyde and his wife, Jewel. He is survived by his sister Martha Callon (Gineth) and their daughter, Sharrell and her children, Andrew and R.H. He is also survived by his step-daughters Carla Harville (Mike), Jan Goebel (Bill), and Barbara Day (Greg) and their children; and many other close family members and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 10-11am at Baldwin Fairchild East Altamonte, 994 E Altamonte Dr., Altamonte Springs, FL 32701. Service will follow at 11am. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations made to Hospice of St. Francis in Titusville, FL.
