Dale Edward Sims

Dale Edward Sims, 69, of Altamonte Springs, Florida formerly of Puna, Hawai’i passed away on April 19, 2021. He was born on August 14, 1951 in Hollywood, California to the late Jack Cole and Betty Faye (Harvey) Sims. Dale was recently retired from his position as CEO of Star's Edge International. Anyone who had the fortune to encounter Dale would come away from the experience with a sense of joy and love, because that is what his spirit conveyed! If you heard someone call out for “Hollywood” on the C.B., it could very well have been Dale they were looking for, as his handle referenced his birthplace. Taekwondo, landscaping, writing, and most importantly, inspiring others to find their joy, were some of Dale’s favorite pastimes.

He was preceded in death by his beloved late wife, Catherine Sims (Whittaker), step-son David Waipa, brother, Gary Sims and grandson, Zachary Malone. Survivors include his beloved wife, Madonna Machado; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Jenifer Sims; step-son and step-daughter; Harvey Waipa and Malia Malone; brother, Larry Brocha; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law; Stephen and Michael Whittaker, Robert Cooper, Judy Akoni, Angela, Dinah, Roberta and Christine Machado; aunt, Janice Sims; grandchildren, Zane and Malin Sims, Jada and Ella Malone, Skye, Wai’aha, Kaui’laniokaua and Keola Waipa; and many nieces and nephews.
