David L Powell Jr.

David was born in Chicago, Illinois but to him, home was always Alabama. He was a huge "Roll Tide" Alabama fan from the day he was born until the day he died just like his father before him. David was a lifelong believer and devout Christian who joyfully and proudly served in whatever capacity such as teacher, singer, and Deacon in various churches throughout his life.

He had a passion and long career in sales and was currently working with Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home as a Personal Planning Advisor.

He was a loving husband, father, and brother who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Sharon Powell; son, David Huston Powell; brother, Randy (Karen) Powell; sisters, Cindi (Rusty) Miller and Sharon McClung, and a host of adored nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends for David will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church, 1022 S Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka, FL 32703, followed by a celebration of life service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me has been set up to assist the family.
