

Services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Annunciation Catholic Church of
Altamonte Springs under the direction of Rev. Stephen Baumann, followed by interment at Highland Memory Gardens. A family time will be Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 90 Weathersfield Ave., Altemonte Springs.
Mrs. Barker Truax was born August 20, 1936 to Bertha May (Reilly) and Joseph George Montry in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Whitney High School in Toledo and married Glenn Gobel Barker September 1, 1956. They had four children before he passed away. She moved to Florida and married Anthony Ashburn Truax. They spent more than 35 happy years together in Altamonte Springs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn Barker and her husband Anthony Truax, a daughter Michelle Lynn Barker Morgan and a brother George Bernard Montry.
Mrs. Barker was a special mother to her four children. She kept a beautiful home and was creative like a trained designer. She also had a gift for hospitality as many can attest who were guests in her home. She was a talented seamstress creating numerous outfits for her children to wear throughout their lives.
Mrs. Barker is survived by two daughters Karen Jones and husband Paul of Longwood and Lauri Jo Barker of Deltona, Florida; a son Steven Glenn Barker of Altamonte Springs; daughter-in-law Vicki Gueniot of Altamonte Springs; two sisters Joyce Godwin and husband Bill of Van Alstyne, Texas and Judy Turbeville of
Gainesville, Texas; grandchildren Joseph Glenn Barker, Justin Tyler Buie both of Sanford, Florida, Emily Karen Jones and Michhelle Lynn Jones both of Longwood, Florida, Hailie Morgan and Malorie Morgan both of St. Petersburg, Florida, Shannon Elizabeth Truax and Casey Lynn Truax both of Altamonte Springs and a great-grandson Treyveon Jabrell Buie of Sanford. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a world of friends who love her dearly.
