She was born on July 30, 1928, in Lakeland, Florida, to the late Glen and Gladys Swank.
Dwan met her dear husband, James, when they were both students at Olivet Nazarene College in Illinois, and he won her heart. This providential union bestowed upon Dwan the calling of becoming a pastor’s wife, which she honored with much love, music, and good cooking! Dwan always played the piano, always sang hymns, and always served pancakes for breakfast to her family’s delight.
They raised a family and a community with all they had to give, and the night before Dwan joined her husband in Heaven she said she heard the bells… The next morning, she said she saw an angel in her room, and not long after was welcomed home by her savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Trimble, and her son, Richard Trimble.
Dwan is survived by her children, James Trimble and his wife Mayumi, Thomas Trimble, Catherine Lindsley and her husband Kelly, and Charles Trimble and his wife Suzanne, nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Please join us for a Celebration of Dwan’s Life on Friday, March 12 at 1:00pm with a short viewing time beforehand at 12:30pm at Baldwin-Fairchild, 994 E. Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, Florida. Burial will follow at All Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry, Florida.
