

Ed was born in Nolo, PA the only child to the late Edgar, Sr. and Thelma Cramer Holby. He graduated from Pine Township High School in 1955 where he was known as “Cork”. He was an active member of the band and track team where he threw discus and placed second at the county meet in his junior year.
He married Sally Wolf of Indiana, PA. in 1958 after which he was drafted into the service, He spent 2 years in the Army band playing the trombone. He played for Elvis Presley at Fort Dix in 1960.
He was a long-distance truck driver for Consolidated Freightways for 40 years working at terminals in York, PA, Columbus OH, Birmingham, AL, Orlando, FL where he retired in 2000.
He was an avid Alabama Football fan and enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, leather and wood crafting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeff and nephew Rob Sickler.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sally, daughter Kimberly, grandson Jeremy (Heaven), great granddaughter Stella-Rose, daughter-in-law Tami Bailey Holby, nephews John Stewart (Paragi), Douglas Sickler, Matthew Sickler.
