

She was born on May 9, 1924 in Madison, Wisconsin. She earned her Business degree from the University of Wisconsin. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She met her husband, Norman W. Reed, Jr. while attending a function at Camp Randle at the end of WWII. They married in June of 1945 and subsequently moved to Toledo, Ohio. She was a housewife, in Toledo and Columbus, Ohio until her divorce in 1965. Subsequently, she held numerous administrative positions at many private and public organizations until her retirement. She had moved to Clearwater and finally Dunedin, Florida. She had a passion for her two children, church affiliations, and her community, serving in Dunedin as a HOA officer.
Frances lived her past twelve years in assisted health care facilities until her recent death.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Reed, brother, Charles Johnson and her parents, Charles and Gladys Johnson.
She is survived by her sister, Suzanne Lewis of Tampa; son, David of Orlando, and six grandchildren, Brian, Eric, Julie, Meg, Annie and Jeff. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be held at the Church of the Ascension in Clearwater, Florida at 10 AM on April 8, 2024
