Freeda was born December 30, 1921 in Ravenna, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Alice Pemberton. She retired from Pantry Pride as a dairy grocery associate in 1983.
Freeda enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, cake decorating, painting pictures and spending time with family and all her grandchildren. She had amazing cake decorating skills, to which she made everyone’s birthday cakes and even her granddaughter’s wedding cake. She was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her son, Robert Eugene Heckman of Geneva, FL; Granddaughter, Tammy Lynn Scott (Richie) of Orange City, FL; Great Grandson, Kyle Damon Scott (Tori) of Bessemer City, NC; Great Grandson, Cody Justin Scott (Victoria) of WeekiWachee, FL; Great Grandson, Collin Michael Scott of DeLand, FL; Great Great Grandson, Hunter Grayson Granados and Great Great Granddaughter, Harper Lynn Scott both of Bessemer City, NC.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert William Heckman; her son, Lawrence Heckman; her brothers, Franklin Pemberton, Raymond Pemberton, Robert Pemberton; and sister, Evelyn Pemberton.
Public visitation will be held for Freeda at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 994 E ALTAMONTE DR, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL 32701 on Saturday,June 18th, 2022 at 10 AM with services beginning at 11 AM.
She will be laid to rest at 12:30 PM at All Faith Memorial Park, 1390 Park Drive, Casselberry, FL 32707 following services on June 18, 2022.
