Georges Pierrot

November 14, 1932 – July 24, 2026

George Paul Pierrot was born on November 14, 1932, in Saint-Louis-du-Nord, Haiti, to Ismene Valcourt and Henry Pierrot. On July 24, 2026, he departed this life at the age of 93, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, determination, and entrepreneurship.

George’s life journey carried him from Haiti to the Bahamas and eventually to New York. While in New York, he met the love of his life, Jeanine Mayard. Their connection was immediate and undeniable. Within four months of meeting, they were married on December 27, 1969, beginning a life and family together.

George was the proud father of Gary Christopher, Philip Pierrot, and Indira Pierrot. He also lovingly embraced Alain Mayard as a son. Family was an important part of his life and legacy.

A lifelong entrepreneur, George possessed a natural gift for recognizing opportunities and turning his ideas into reality. In Haiti, he owned a gas station. After moving to New York, he founded the first “dollar van” transportation company registered with the New York Department of Transportation. His entrepreneurial instincts extended to real estate, where his wisdom and ability to recognize the potential of a property led him to make profitable and forward-thinking decisions.

George dreamed of using his knowledge and vision to develop real estate projects in his beloved Haiti. Although the country’s political instability prevented that dream from fully materializing, his desire to invest in and contribute to the land of his birth remained close to his heart.

Longing for the warmth and sunshine of his earlier years, George relocated to Central Florida in 1993. There, he continued his entrepreneurial journey by operating a daycare business, as well as a commerce business. Later in life, he worked in security for Rosen Hotels.

George was a man of strong convictions and many passions. He loved to dance, enjoyed watching the news, and was a staunch Democrat. Fluent in French, Creole, and English he remained proud of his Haitian heritage and the experiences that shaped his life.

His Catholic faith was especially important to him. George loved the Catholic Church and never missed an opportunity to proudly remind others that to him it was the number-one religion in the world. His faith was woven into the fabric of who he was.

As one of five children, George shared his family roots with three brothers and one sister. He was blessed with several nieces and nephews and maintained especially close relationships with a number of them, including Marie Josephine Gabriel, Gilda Perez, Lourdes Pierrot, and Louis Marie Pierrot. Each of them held a special place in his heart—and, in true family fashion, each was convinced that they were his favorite.

Those who knew George will remember his stories, strong opinions, determination, and, most especially, his infectious laugh. His laughter brought life into a room and will remain forever in the memories of those who loved him..

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Gary Christopher, Philip Pierrot, and Indira Pierrot; his beloved daughter-in-law, Nicole Smith Pierrot, Alain Mayard, whom he embraced as a son; two grandsons, his beloved nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members, friends, and others whose lives were touched by his remarkable journey.

George’s love extended far beyond traditional family ties. He had a special way of welcoming his children’s closest friends and loving them as his own, including Shondell Easton, Arielle Loren, Ese Eniwumide, Ricardo Jean and Fiona Balfour Haeser. They, too, became part of the family he built and the legacy of love he leaves behind.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanine Mayard Pierrot; his parents, Ismene Valcourt and Henry Pierrot; and his siblings, Julian Pierrot, Gilbert Pierrot, Jocelyn Pierrot, and Gladys Bonheur.

George Paul Pierrot lived boldly, thought independently, dreamed expansively, and never stopped looking for opportunity. His journey spanned countries, industries, and generations, but the love, laughter, lessons, and legacy he leaves behind will endure.

May he rest peacefully in the loving arms of God and be joyfully reunited with his beloved Jeanine and all those who went before him.

A resident of Plantation, Florida, Georges is honored with a Vigil at SE FUNERAL HOMES OF FLORIDA LLC, 994 E ALTAMONTE DR, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL 32701, US, on August 15, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Comital at SE Cemeteries of Florida DBA Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 TEMPLE DR, WINTER PARK, FL 32789, US, on August 15, 2026, at 2:30 pm.
