Guy honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II where he spent months on a submarine.
He worked for General Dynamics in Rochester, New York, transferred to Orlando, Florida and transferred again to San Diego, CA where he retired in 1985. He moved back to Florida with his wife.
They found a home on a golf course, a dream come true since Guy was an avid golfer and played whenever he had the chance. He also loved to sing and was an active member of the Orange Blossom Chorus. He was proud to have received a much-coveted award—Barbershopper of the Year— in 1996.
He was a long-time member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Tuscawilla, and was a huge Orlando Magic fan. He even complained when he got sick and had to miss a game.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores, his parents Michael Germain and Lena Mills Germain, his brother Ralph, his sisters Virginia Cary and Lena Hubbell
He is survived by sons Marc (Diane), Gregg (Rosanne Sperry) and daughter, Susan L. Germain, and step-son, Tom (Debi) Walter and step-daughter, Debbie Brown, along with eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
