In 1941 she became a Radio City Music Hall Rockette. She was married to LT. CMDR. Robert E. Banman from Kansas for 41 years. While stationed in Denmark Helen became an artist, her expertise and enjoyment were landscapes, portraits, wildlife and flowers. She later won many honors and special awards with her reverse glass paintings and oils. She was an active member of the Central Florida and Orange Artist League. She was also member of the Red Hat Society. She attended First Christian, Journey, and Lockhart Baptist Churches. She is survived by Beverly and Mel Hogue, Orlando, FL and Arthur and Denise, Lake Mary, FL, and 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren.
