I think of all the times spent playing "Aggravation" and Hand & Foot. All the times you called us all by everyone's name but our own. All the times you were there for me, even if I was too stubborn to ask for it. I think of you and Gabriel together, letting him jump on your bed or doing Jumbles together. You were the best grandmother I could ask for, and though I may falter more than I like you showed me how to live a life of dignity, respect, and grace. I will keep these memories and lessons close to me, so you will always be with me.

I love you, Granny. Rest well.

I have no words that could ever speak my heart. From the time of my birth until the last days of her life, she had nothing but the deepest Love for me!

Cared for me as a sick child. Breakfast in her bed. So many sweet, tender memories. She accepted every part of me with the gentlest kindness and true unconditional Love!

Mom raised four caregivers. Children with the capacity to love. I am so grateful for that gift!

In a sense, I am heartbroken but I know that she will be with me every day for there is no reality in time or space and she has a special place in my heart and is such a part of me.

I miss you Mom, I'm planting a rose bush Sunday at 2. The little frog is still there like always.

"You better not be running away from me."

"If I said it was black, You'd say it was white."

"I've never seen anyone like you."

Love you always, Thanks for everything . . .

Gene was my very good friend for 45 years. She did not follow hypocritical religion, she did not judge me or others. She was highly intelligent, the valedictorian of her class, and she understood real people and the true aspect of life having raised four good hearted children who gave her four grandchildren. She didn't preach, she practiced. Love, sharing and caring, was her way of life and so many of us who benefitted from that are grateful for her life. I will continue to communicate with her.

God blessed me with a wonderful Christian Mom. No unkind words ever left her lips. She is now in the arms of her savior Jesus Christ and walking the streets of gold with no walker.
I will love you forever and see you again.

Having known this lady for 42 years, I can say she was one of the sweetest women I’ve ever met. To have been her pastor for the last 32 years has been an honor and a privilege. The wonderful and glorious place called heaven that she has sung about so many times, she now resides. Our prayers and condolences to the family. God bless you all

I have been blessed in this life to have had a wonderful Christian Mom who loved everyone. I never heard her say a bad thing about anyone in her 89 years of life.
I thank God for the promise of eternal life where we will be together again for eternity in His presence.
Until we meet again, I will love you forever.
