Jackie was a devout Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Longwood. She grew up in Miami, FL, attended Coral Gables Senior High, and graduated in 1962. During her high school years Jackie performed as a majorette and appeared in several Orange Bowl Parades. After graduating from high school, she was a legal secretary until moving to San Antonio, TX in 1967 with her husband Frank where he served in the US Air Force. She moved back to Miami when he retired from the Air Force in 1969 and then moved to Winter Springs, FL in 1974. Beginning in 1985 Jackie opened her home for many years to numerous foster children, bringing joy and stability to many children in need of a loving family. Jackie and Frank also were unassuming philanthropists, providing love and support to countless strangers. In 2001 when Frank retired, Jackie and Frank were able to focus on family and travel the world.
Jackie was married for 50 years to the late Frank Adams who predeceased her in 2017. She is survived by her son, Donald Adams and his wife Shirley and granddaughter Jessica Bedard; son Jimee Adams; daughter Debbie Sweezey and husband Gary and granddaughter Jada and grandson Cash. She also is survived by her sister Lois Kasner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
