I'm so sorry to learn of your familys' loss, & all our loses, of Jim.
I got to know Jim in the 1970's or 80's. He was in Ed. & Trng in Cat Corp. Headquarters & I was a Trng Instructor in the East Peoria Plant. I was assigned to be his liaison to help implement training programs he had developed that the East Peoria Plant wanted to use. We ended up having very similar backgrounds in Ed, & Trng: Classroom Instructor, then Ed. & Trng Supervisor, & General Supervisor. After 15 years I moved into Material Control & finished my career there. Then in the 1990's my wife & I joined Calvary Baptist Church & discovered Jim & Ruby were also attending there. I remember Jim beaming with pride when Ruby would do a monthly or bi-monthly skit in front of the congregation to illustrate a point to be made from a scripture passage. Jim told me about the monthly retired Ed. & Trng personnel lunches in Peoria & we began taking turns driving to them. Then health issues dropped attendance so low they were stopped, but Jim & I continued on our own in Pekin. When Jim's health got to the point he couldn't drive I would pick him up & we continued until his stroke. He always had stories to tell about his military experience during WWII. Then he moved to FL. I'm not a disciplined phone call person so the last time I saw or spoke to Jim was when he was in Pekin Manor Rehab from his stroke. Jim had a very pleasant out-going manner & was always talkative. May God rest your soul my friend & a very good & faithful servant.

Jim Anderson was one of my favorite apprentice instructors in the Caterpillar training program. I had lunch with him several times at the lunch organized by Wayne Boegner for retired training people. I know that he was a Purdue graduate. He also ran the skills inventory management program for Caterpillar. I had a lot of respect for Jim.
