

Born in Paris Texas October 20, 1934, James T. Osborne lived a life defined by service, dedication, generosity, and love. He passed away peacefully June 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted daughters: Beth and Terri; his twelve grandchildren: Amy, Sarah, James, Chris, Cory, Clint, Andrew, Matthew, Jason, Valentina, Robert, and Mikey; his brother Bob; his daughters-in-law: Jeana, Seyda, and Diana; and his step-son Mike. His family tree continues to grow with his four great-grandchildren, Madison, Hannah, Jasmine, and Mila who brought him immense joy in his later years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Marie, his daughter Lynn, who passed in 2001, his son Nick who passed in 2015, his step-son Bob who passed in 2004, and his sister Martha Sue Allen who passed in 2019. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout the remainder of his life.
A proud Naval aviator, James served his country for 25 years. He began his military career as an enlisted sailor and, through hard work and determination, rose to become the commanding officer of a Vigilante flight wing. He was trained as a bombardier navigator, and later flew surveillance missions over Vietnam, demonstrating courage and commitment to his fellow serviceman and nation.
After retiring from the Navy in 1975, he pursued his passion for learning and achieved a Master’s degree in Mathematics. His post-Navy career was as diverse as it was impactful, ranging from teaching middle school students to working as an engineer, where he designed and developed advanced simulation flight trainers for the military.
James will be remembered for his sharp intellect, gentle wisdom, and unwavering devotion and generosity to his family. His legacy of service, both in uniform and in the classroom, continues to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
A graveside service for James will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr, Winter Park, FL 32789.
