Born and raised in Louisiana, she grew up one of six daughters. Though she eventually moved to Florida after marrying her late husband, Bill, a piece of her heart always remained in Louisiana. She was a passionate, lifelong fan of the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints, always cheering them on with genuine hometown pride.
She was the true heart and fabric of her family—both figuratively and literally. As the designated family seamstress, there was no hole she couldn’t mend and no patch she couldn’t sew.
A woman of deep faith, she was an avid churchgoer who found great comfort, community, and joy in her worship. When she wasn't spending time with her family or at church, she could almost always be found with her nose in a book, losing herself in stories and histories. Her warmth, unwavering love, and steady presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, and her sisters, Wanda Jean and Peggy Lois.
She is survived by her children, Heather and Naomi; her grandchildren, Mikela, Aubrey and Danny; and her cherished sisters, Sandra, Ramona, and Marilyn.
John 11:25-26 "Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.
