Jean Ruth Blakeman (Stevenson) went to be with her Lord on August 22, 2026. A Georgia native, Jean was born on January 15, 1927. In 1945, Jean married the love of her life, Carroll Edgar Blakeman. Jean and Carroll enjoyed 70 wonderful years together. Jean was a loving wife and mother. Her greatest legacy was her family. She and Carroll devoted their lives to raising their children. She also gave generously of her time and talents to the Lord's work, including many years serving as a church secretary at First Baptist Brooksville.
Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Claire (Kevin); her sister, Clara Weichbrodt; her brothers, Clinton Stevenson, Blake Stevenson, and William Stevenson; and her parents, Blake and Daisy Stevenson. Jean is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Kelly (Ken) and her son Van Blakeman (Nina) along with her 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
