John Spent his youth and schooldays in Marietta, Ohio. There he met many lifelong friends. John was an Air Force Veteran. While serving in Japan, he became a sixth-degree martial artist. John was a graduate of Tennessee Temple and Bob Jones University where he studied Religious Education. He was also past president of College Park Rotary Club. John moved his family to Winter Park, Florida in 1976. He retired from the city of Orlando, where he served as The Manager of Greenwood Cemetery. His dream job was being the Green UP Oando Coordinator for 16 years.
John is survived by his sons, Jeffery, Jonathan and Jason. He will be missed by his grandchildren: Amelia, Jeffery Ellie, Hanna, Rose, Nathan and Sharon. He is also survived by his sisters, Vicki Sorensen and his brother Joe Sorensen.
