Johnny Minguela, of Orlando, Fl, passed away on May 17, 2023. Johnny was born to Domingo and Margarita Minguela on September 30, 1960 in Miami, Fl. He was the oldest of six, brother to five sisters who looked up to him as another father figure and protector. He was a loving son, brother, father and friend to many, always ready to help anyone in need.
His passions included cooking, fishing, singing, and most important was his volunteer work helping others learn about the Bible and God’s promise for the future (Rev. 21:4). Johnny touched the hearts of many, but especially his family whom he loved dearly. His favorite moments included time being spent with all the family together, enjoying good music, singing, and of course, food that he prepared himself (he was known for his crab boils). He was always available to listen and give a word of advice when someone was in need, but would also be ready to tell a joke to lighten the mood and be sure that everyone was happy.
Johnny became a father in 1980 to Michael Minguela and then again in 1982 to Christina Genovevo. He was proud of the accomplishments of his children and would often tell others stories of fishing with the two of them as young children. His son and daughter loved him dearly, looked up to him and were proud of all his accomplishments throughout his life.
Johnny is survived by his father and mother, Domingo and Margarita Minguela; four sisters Daisy Minguela, Damaris Pagan, Priscila Minguela, and Abigail Marrero; his half-brother Merkelly Minguela; brothers in-law Angel Pagan and Gustavo Marreo, his children Michael Minguela and Christina Genovevo; son in-law Carmelo Genovevo, daughter in-law Amanda Smith, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly.
