Kimberly Anne McAvoy Peck, affectionately known as Kim, passed away in Orlando, Florida on July 29, 2024, at the age of 55. She was born on April 11, 1969, in Berlin, Vermont, to Mary Lee Catherine Ragan and Michael Allen McAvoy.
Kimberly appreciated Native American art, gnomes, dream catchers, and was a huge dog lover to her fur babies (Mika and her Huskies Bourbie, Hooligan, Sookie, Shenanigan, Khaleesi) and animals of all kinds. Kimberly was known for her gracious heart and fun-loving spirit, dancing in the rain and singing rock and roll songs, even though she couldn’t carry a tune. But more than anything, she adored her family and friends and was always looking for ways to celebrate together. Her friends were an integral part of her life. Kimberly had a successful career in apartment management for over twenty years. She used her talents in team building and communication, and was a great mentor and leader. In March of 2003, Kimberly met Steven Peck, they both fell in love and married on November 13, 2004. Together they shared beautiful memories like traveling to Niagara Falls, walking through caverns in Canada, spending time with family in New England, watching sunsets on Sebago Lake, Maine, and celebrating her brother’s weddings in Blacksburg, VA and at Miller's Christmas Tree Farm in Laurel Springs, NC.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lee Catherine Ragan Till. Kimberly is survived by her loving husband, Steven Peck, father Michael A. McAvoy and stepmother Lynne McAvoy, brothers Michael McAvoy Jr., Cory McAvoy (Rebecca) and Bryce McAvoy (Courtney), step sons Christopher LaJoie and Rustie Peck, daughter-in law Tamari Piombino, and her grandchildren Jaylean, Makayla and Joseph, who she cherished very much. Her several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews were all very special to her. She will be greatly missed, but the love she shared will continue to live on in our memories forever.
Kimberly was a loving and caring person who touched the hearts of many people with her generosity and kindness. She adored her family and friends and knew how to live in the moment.
Special thanks to her medical professionals who attended to her, and for the devoted care of the staff at her Fersinious Dialysis Center in Altamonte Springs.
