ROUSH, Larry, 81, of Altamonte Springs died March 21, 2016 at Hospice of the Comforter. He was born on Christmas Day, 1934 in a big white house overlooking the beautiful Ohio River at Long Bottom, Ohio. He always loved the river. Larry was a Deacon and an Elder at Wekiva Presbyterian Church. He was a retired teacher in Polk Co. Schools and also taught Sociology at Polk Community College. Larry served as Executive Secretary of the Florida Council of Social Studies for several years. He was preceded in death by his only child, Jean Roush-Burnett. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Shirley Roush; son-in-law, Michael Burnett; grandson, Jonathan Burnett; sister, Mary J. Barringer and brother, Don Roush.
