Retired Reserve Lieutenant Colonel David Lee Creech of Maitland, Florida, affectionately known as Jipper, age 72, passed away on April 23, 2015. Born in Dallas, Texas, he graduated from Spring Branch High School in Houston, Texas in 1960 and immediately entered the Air Force ROTC program at Texas A&M University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. While there, he held the honor of drum major for the Texas Aggie band and acted as Drum and Bugle Corps Sgt. In 1978, he received his Master of Science degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. David proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force Reserve after 24 years. He also worked as a civilian Contract Administrator in Orlando, Florida, finishing his career in 1999 as a GS15 Director of Acquisition for the United States Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM). His exceptional accomplishments culminated a distinctive 38-year career in the service of his country and reflected great credit upon himself, the United States Air Force and the Department of Defense. His work ethic, intelligence, wit, honesty, integrity and kindness nurtured his children, spoiled his wife and captivated his extended family and friends. Passion and artistry were exemplified in everything he did — his work as well as his hobbies including cooking, traveling, music, model airplanes/boats and cars. David was preceded in death by his parents Clancey Kaspar and Raymond Creech of Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan Ross from Streator, Illinois; daughter Leigh Creech Duncan (Joe Kienzler) of Altamonte Springs, Florida; son, Ross Creech (Christine) of Snoqualmie, Washington; sister, Jenny Adamson (Roger) of Dallas, Texas; half brother, Ronnie Creech of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Zach Duncan, Ashley and Andrew Creech and by nieces and nephews.
