Maryann O'Connor

Maryann M. O’Connor (Witkowski), age 77 of Brick, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, January 11, 2025. She was born and raised in Queens, New York. She then moved to Closter, New Jersey after her marriage to Donald D. O’Connor. She and her husband later moved to Brick in 2006, where they both made many wonderful friends at the Cedar Village community.

She was a Secretary at the Bank of New York, a Secretary at St. Mary’s Catholic School, and then a Confidential Secretary at the Bergen County Courthouse.

Mrs. O’Connor was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald, and her parents, Vincent and Rose (Brunn) Witkowski. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Ashlee Christiansen), and her son, Danny (Becky Yedvobnick).

She loved to spend time with family and friends, and was greatly adored by all that knew her. She loved to laugh, dance, spend time at the beach, and enjoy the company of cats.

Following her husband’s death in 2012, she continued to make many fond memories visiting and traveling with her children, who will think of her every time they pet a cat or drink a margarita.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17th, 2025.
