Matthew Steven Muzeka passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday May 16, 2018. Matthew was born on December 4, 1985 at Orlando Regional Medical Center and lived his whole life in Lake Mary, Fl, attending Heathrow Elementary School, Greenwood Lakes Middle School and Lake Mary High School. He was an avid golfer and played several sports including high school football. He then attended University of South Florida and later graduated from The Golf Academy of America in Orlando, Fl. Matthew was employed by NBC at the Golf Channel in Orlando where he was an Associate Producer working on Morning Drive, The Golf Fix and School of Golf. In his spare time, Matthew was a Golf Mentor for Special Olympic Golf Athletes in Seminole County. Matthew is survived by his parents, Steve and Robin (Shemuha) Muzeka of Lake Mary, Fl. as well as his older brother, Michael James Muzeka and Nephew Hunter Grayson Muzeka of Sorrento, Fl. He is also survived by his Girlfriend, Clare Tiedman. His Grandparents Adeline and Bob Shemuha of Punxsutawney, Pa and Elizabeth Muzeka Schrader of Sanford, Fl also survive him. His Grandfather, James Charles Muzeka, preceded him in death. Matthew is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles, Rhonda and Dan Gresock, Rita and John Verona and Bob Muzeka, as well as cousins Zack Verona, Alex Verona, Nick Verona, Lauren Verona, Brad Gresock, Brock Gresock and Charlie Muzeka. He is also survived by many lifelong friends who meant the world to him.
Matthew’s Family is extremely grateful to Dr. Gregor Alexander of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, everyone at the Golf Channel as well as friends, neighbor and coworkers for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida at 1030 N. Orange Ave. Ste 105, Orlando, Fl 32801, in Matthew’s memory. Donations will be used to assist the family in constructing a Putting Green and bring joy to families staying at The Ronald McDonald House on the campus of the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Additionally, donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital.
