OBITUARY
Melissa Munoz
May 26, 1971 – December 18, 2020
Melissa Munoz, 49, passed away on December 18, 2020 in Fern Park, Florida.
Melissa, better known as “Melly”, “Mel”, or “Melly Mel”, was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She loved working and spent over 20 years at Macy’s, living through their famous one liner, “believe”. Melly was loud and full of laughter with an infectious smile. When she wasn’t working, Melly loved watching “her” Patriots play so it wasn’t uncommon to find her yelling at the television screen when Brady scrambled in the pocket. She also loved music and there wasn’t anything that Biggie’s “Gimme the Loot” couldn’t fix. Most of all, Melly loved her family. She had a heart of gold and whenever a family member or friend needed her, she did not hesitate to give all she had. Her famous motto was, “Do good and good will come back to you.”
Melly is succeeded by her two daughters, Kaylee and Lauren Delgardo; four grandchildren; her parents, Luz and Angel Munoz; two sisters: Nora Munoz and Belissa Abercrombie; two brothers: Angel Munoz Jr. and Robert Munoz; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. The family would like to thank everyone for their caring support and kind words during this difficult time, they have been greatly appreciated.

I worked in the Shoe Department with Mel In the North Attleboro MAcys for many years. She was a tough one minute and sweet another. She was great at her job and people always came in just for her to wait on them. I loved when she brought in her moms empanadas. Funny thing was she would only let us have one each even though they were so yummy. Also I loved when she would bring in food from Antonio’s on Smithfield ave in Pawtucket. So sad that she is not with us anymore. May she Rest In Peace and May her memories be eternal!

We are saddened to hear of Melly’s passing . She was so warm and caring. We appreciate how much she did for our granddaughters, FINLEE and FARYN. She was like a second mother and took care of them like her own. To Belissa and Nora she is still with you in spirit. We are with you in Christ.

Melli Mels... I say goodbye for now with the heaviest heart. Thirty-seven years ago I gained another little sister. We shared many fun times together and got into plenty of mischief. I am going to miss every part of your beautiful soul, that contagious laugh, and your hilarious way of explaining how you got a bargain at Macys. I feel blessed to have had you in my life for all those years. Continue to smile and dance with the angels in heaven. Love, Dena xoxo

My last memory of melly, was me cooking rice for her because she didn’t feel well. But she stood right next to me telling me how to make the rice. I said, melly you could’ve made this yourself. And she just laughed at me. There’s so many many memories, but this one sticks out in my mind. She will be truly missed. May she Rest In Peace.
