Michael Burnette

Mike passed away peacefully at his home on December 27th 2025 from pulmonary fibrosis.

He was dearly loved and is missed beyond words by Sheila "Jody" Burnette, his wife of 37 years. He will forever be remembered with love by his son Aaron (Stephanie Loaiza), granddaughter Ella, Niece April Dyrek and nephew Jamie Dyrek.

Mike proudly served in the US Navy Seabees during Vietnam. He was a Professional Land Surveyor.

He was a good human being of quiet strength and steady character. Favorite hobbies included working with his antique metal lathes, motorcycle riding, and collecting stray cats.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward G. Burnette, mother, Nancy A. Burnette, sister, Maryann Dyrek and brother-in-law, Jim Dyrek.

A celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, Jan 11th from 11am- 1pm at the Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, 90 Weathersfield Avenue, Altamonte Springs, FL.

Immediately afterwards a graveside service, including military honors, will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha, FL.
