Michele NeJame Demetree

Mickey was born on April 17th, 1944, and left our earthly presence on May 24th, 2023. She led an energetic and full life, cut far too short.

Mickey was an inspiration of optimism and intellectual curiosity and creativity, as a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.

According to her wishes, a rosary, mass, and Celebration of Life took place on Tuesday, May 30th at Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs followed by a reception at her favorite, Dubstread.

Mickey graduated from St. James and Bishop Moore Catholic Schools and actively maintained lifelong friendships with many classmates. She was their Homecoming Queen and the only thing that exceeded her physical beauty was the beauty of her heart.

Mickey founded “Hair Graphics” and was not only a talented stylist but a successful businesswoman until her retirement. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred NeJame, her father, and Genevieve NeJame, her mother who instilled a deep appreciation for our Lebanese heritage.

Mickey is survived by her dearest friend, the love of her life, and traveling companion, her husband, Len Zilles.

Mickey is also survived by her daughter, Kim Demetree, three sons and their wives; David and Reed Demetree, Robert and Jenny Demetree, and Matt Demetree.

Mickey also left behind eleven combined grandchildren; Trey, Jessie, Avery, Robbie “D”, Hunter, Mason, Callie, Matthew Jr., Lily, Lucy, and her dear heart, Lucas. Finally, Mickey left behind two brothers, Alan and George NeJame who will both miss their sister.

Mickey was loved, always will be loved, and always be remembered by her family and friends. She will be missed. Look to the heavens if you need her. We love you Michele, Mom, Baba, Sittee Mickey, Aunt Mickey, cousin, and friend.
