To Mr. Nick's family! What a wonderful neighbor and friend he was to my kids and me! Every year at Halloween - he'd be right there with his big bowl of candy for my kids - "oh, don't take one" - he would say "take lots". And I will miss his "Hello Neighbor" when I'd see him outside! What a legacy he is leaving! He and his late wife, Audrey, were indeed, the best neighbors. I will miss him after living just a couple doors down from him for 25 years!

We were so blessed to have Mr. Nick for a neighbor for 21 years! He and Miss Audrey were wonderful role models and provided such positive inspiration as we were raising 3 boys. One of our first interactions was Mr. Nick walking across the yard yelling "Hey what do you think you are doing?" "We are putting up a fence by the swingset so the boys won't bother you." In his military manner we were commanded to stop. He said he wanted to see the kids otherwise he would have moved to a retirement community! The fence never went up but a true friendship was established between our back yards. A sharing plate was passed back and forth over the years; Mr. Nick's yummy brownies were brought to us then the plate returned with cookies or pumpkin bread, one of his favorites.
We are comforted knowing Mr. Nick is reunited with Miss Audrey and smile reliving many fond memories of them.

We looked up to Mr. Nick. He was our real life hero! He always asked my boys what did you learn in school today over a hundred times a year for the past 8 years. He would always fly me and the boys and always say it'll cost you breakfast at Perkins. He loved my wife's baked goods and always returned her pans with something in them. Mr. Nick was a wonderfull neighbor and a true friend. We Love you sir and will always cherish the precious time we had with you.
