On April 21st, 2026, Mary Patricia Bohsancurt went home to the heavens, where an Eternity of Peace awaited her. Although this loss brings great grief to her family and friends, comfort and joy is taken in knowing she is home, in the arms of the Lord.
Patricia, affectionately known as Pat, was born on June 7th, 1948, to Margaret Manning Bohsancurt and John Kassel.
She grew up watching her mother go to work as a school teacher, whose passion and devotion followed Pat into her own classroom in 1979, just after her graduation from UCF.
It’s a great blessing to follow one’s calling at the hand of the Lord, and there is no doubt that Pat did that wholeheartedly. Her creative energy and kind spirit led her work in the classroom, where she inspired and nurtured a love of learning in all her students.
Even after retiring her work wasn’t done. She volunteered at Bear Lake Elementary, the school her granddaughter Gia attended, and helped organize events, projects, teach students, and spread joy.
Wherever she went smiles followed, laughs were shared, memories made, and bonds formed. She was always working on something- a fact well known to all she knew and loved- whether it was art, crafting, crocheting, sewing, knitting, embroidering, reading, teaching, or organizing high school reunions, it was something special. Just like her.
Pat’s memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving sister, Lynda, and brother-in-law, Steven; her devoted daughters, Amie and Amanda; and her beloved granddaughters, Gia and Taylor.
She will also be deeply missed by her nephew, Scott; her niece, Nancy; her great-nieces, Amanda and Amber; her great-nephew, Jason. Her great-great-nephews, Deuce and Cruz, and her great-great-niece, Hannah and baby Maggie.
