Patsy Carter Kilgore

Patsy Kilgore passed away peacefully after a long illness. Patsy grew up in Hiltons, Virginia and lived the majority of her life in Scott County. Once her children were in school, she went to college and earned her bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked for over 25 years at the VA Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. She truly enjoyed caring for her patients. Her happiest times were spent in the country, tending to her plants, rummaging through antique and thrift stores and spending time with her cats. She was extremely proud of her three grandchildren and loved her Mee-maw title. She will be greatly missed.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Julie Farr (Wyman), her three Grandchildren, Hannah Cantu (Christian), Charlotte Farr and Gabriel Farr, her brother Scott Carter (Phyllis), her nephew Scott Carter, Jr. and niece Tina Johnson, her sister-in-law, Judy Carter and nephews Terance Carter and John Carter.

Patsy was preceded in death by her son, Thomas R. Kilgore, II, her parents, Grant and Theda Carter, her brother Benjamin “Benny” Carter, her niece, Teresa Carter and her beloved cat Annie.
