R. Dottie Scogin

She was the widow of Ralph Scogin, whom she married on November 2, 1968. Ralph preceded her in death in June of 2000. Her first marriage was to Dr. Robert Lee Cole, of Riverside, California, who is also deceased.

Dottie worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for numerous companies, including as a secretary at Markham Woods Church and EMS, an environmental services firm. She was a member of Markham Woods Seventh-Day Adventist Church and had a passion for gardening, homemaking, and entertaining.

She is survived by her children Geri (Cole) and Steve Nielsen, Rob Cole, and Karla. Her daughter Robin Perez preceded her in death. Her grandchildren Alex Perez, Erik Nielson, and Jen Nielson, and their children Jai and Ria, also survive her. Dottie's older brother, (Orville) Rogers Henderson, and his wife Mary, both preceded her in death. Their child, Michel and Jill (Bloodworth) Henderson, are also beloved family members.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Markham Woods Church of Seventh-Day Adventists.
