Raye Louise Trencher

She was born in Bronx, New York on August 18, 1947 to the late Gertrude and David Pfeffer.

Raye earned a Bachelor’s degree from Mills College of Education and received her Master’s Degree in Early Education from Hunter College.

She married Martin Leonard Trencher on January 25, 1969. They recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary with their children in their new home in Summerville, South Carolina.

Raye had a long and rewarding career in education as an elementary school teacher with the Seminole County School System. Many of her years teaching were spent at Longwood Elementary School teaching kindergarten, first, and second grade. She was beloved by her students and staff. Raye was a gifted teacher and loved having fun with her students, all the while instilling a love for learning.

She had a passion for scrapbooking and being a part of all her children and grandchildren’s many interests. Raye also loved traveling and cruising the world with her husband Marty; they felt fortunate to have been able to visit and explore many different parts of the world. What meant most to Raye was spending time with her family and supporting them in everything they did.

Raye is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Martin Trencher; children, Dawn Gesualdi, Darren Trencher and his wife, Deanna; grandchildren, Nick, Cameron, Addison, Mia, and Lauren, and her sister, Ilene Moore and niece Roni.

The family will receive friends and family from 10-11 a.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 994 East Altamonte, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at All Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry, Florida.

The family kindly requests everyone to come celebrate Raye's life in her favorite colors, navy and pastels.
