He was born January 30, 1943, in Mount Vernon, New York to Raymond and Margaret Evans. He grew up in Branford, Connecticut. Ray graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Ray was a retired Sales Executive in the Banking Software industry.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Evans; daughter, Jennifer Evans of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Barbara Evans Ballard of Ponte Vedra, Florida.
Ray achieved much throughout his life in academics, sports, and his career, but he was most proud of his family. He was a devoted husband and father and will be missed beyond words by his family and many friends. Ray had an infectious, warm personality and everyone who met him became an instant friend for life.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church at a later date.
