Roy Leonard Hadden, 66, of Altamonte Springs, passed away on October 9, 2020. He was born in Redwood City, California on October 24, 1953 to the late George and Geneva Hadden. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Susan; son, Clint; step son, Joshua; brother, David (Edith); sister, Carolyn as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Roy was an avid baseball fan all of his life. He was so talented he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants, but an unfortunate injury stalled his baseball career. He instead joined the Navy, where he proudly served for 14 years before going on to work for the United States Postal Service, which he retired from.

Along with his love of baseball, he also loved golf and spending time on the greens with Clint. He recently joined the Elks club and could often be found at Bingo nights with Susan and friends.

Roy will forever be remembered for his love of sports, shoes and clothes, but mostly for his love of his family and friends.

A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 90 Weathersfield Ave. Altamonte Springs, FL 32714, on Saturday October 17, beginning at 3pm. Friends are invited to share their memories of Roy with his family during the celebration.

Uncle Roy was always fun. Growing up we always looked forward to when he would visit. I remember playing catch with him in the driveway....he taught me how to fold my pants without one wrinkle....and how he loved to go out to eat. His laugh was contagious.
He will be missed. How thankful I am for Jehovah Gods promise that “there is going to be a resurrection”! -Acts 24:15

Susan,
I loved spending our days at the Winter Garden Farmers Market together. Daniel and Roy had a great friendship and we always looked forward to seeing you. Often times I would sit back and admire our husbands and the friendship they shared. He was always there to offer his help day or night with Daniel's battle with cancer. He was a great friend and I will miss our time together. Today they still share their friendship. They may not be here physically, but we can hold on to those memories and know he made a difference in our lives. Rest in Peace Roy. ❤
