

Sarah Louise Bellamy Mason gained her wings, Sunday September 19, 2021, at home, surrounded by her loved ones. Her peaceful transition is a testament of God’s love, mercy and his promise, a peace that only a child of God can experience.
Sarah is the daughter of Turner Bellamy Sr. and Essie Mae Fletcher Bellamy born in Seale, Alabama, on March 23, 1931. She is one of eight children and affectionally known as “Tee” by family and friends.
This baby girl is full of life, laughter and love.
Sarah’s parents moved to Birmingham, Alabama when she was a young girl and at the age of 15, she moved to Staten Island, New York and it was there she met the love of her life Edward Louis Mason. They married in 1949 and was separated by Edward’s passing in 2020. Sarah and Edward had two wonderful children and raised another that proceeded them in death.
Sarah loves people and decided that being a nurse technician fed her soul. She worked at Staten Island Hospital, Staten Island New York for 35 years and was a devoted member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church where she served as the Sunday School Superintendent and a Trustee. Nothing gave Sarah more joy than serving the Lord. Her devotion remained throughout her life and it was apparent as we watched her leave this realm, God loves her, honored her and Blessed her faithfulness.
Sarah retired to Orlando, Florida and continued to serve under the leadership of Pastor Willie C. Barnes at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Eatonville, FL, where she faithfully served as a Missionary. She also occupied her time as a retiree working with seniors at the Anway Assisted Living Facility where she was valued and revered. All around Sarah experienced her love, compassion, wisdom and truthfulness.
Sarah loved to dance and enjoyed life. She showed everyone around what it meant to be happy and joyful. She loved and lived life to its fullest! If you were in Sarah’s world joy abounded and you felt the love all around you like a comfy warm blanket.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Edward Louis Mason Sr, her stepson Charles “Henry” Taylor, and her granddaughter Jeannine “Nie Nie “Taylor; Five brothers: Ralph “Bubba” Bellamy, William “Dub” Bellamy, Jessie Bellamy, Turner Bellamy Jr, Woodrow Bellamy and “Arthur “Baby” Bellamy; Two sisters: Ethel Bellamy Carruthers and Alice Bellamy Radford.
She leaves to morn her passing: Two children: Patricia Mason Carter and Edward Mason Jr; Seven grandchildren: Jennifer Taylor, Kareem Mason Carter, Michael Edmonds Villard, Tiffany Reyes, Edward Mason III, Keyshawn Mason and Justin Mason: Six great grandchildren: Jahzara Collins, Lavai Mason, Michael “Pop” Villard, Joshua Carter, Kaiden Carter, Amiyah Behan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sarah, well done mighty woman of God, you have been a good and faithful servant. God loves you so, in that we have confidence. Rest in peace our love, until we see you again.
