
Sharon Schryver Fricke, 84, of Lake Mary, passed away September 20, 2017 in Lake Mary, Florida. There will be a family graveside service at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, Florida with The Reverend Tom Eggebrecht of Ascension Lutheran Church officiating. Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Sharon was born in Springfield, Illinois to Earl and Helen Schryver on June 27, 1933. Sharon earned a degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She wed her High School sweetheart, Leland Fricke on September 11, 1954. They moved to Altamonte Springs Florida in 1968 where they opened a real estate firm, Fricke and Fricke Associates, Inc. Following Lee’s death in 1976, Sharon moved to Lake Mary in 1978 and sold the company in 1982. She subsequently worked in the Insurance industry and did bookkeeping for several businesses. Sharon loved to play golf and travel. In her retirement years, Sharon was a Citizen’s on Patrol Volunteer Officer, volunteered at Ascension Lutheran Church, bowled with a Ladies League, loved water aerobics, playing cards, watching sports, and spending time with her family and friends. Those who know her best, will celebrate her long, full life by enjoying a glass of white zinfandel in her honor. Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Lee; parents, Earl and Helen; and brother Richard. Sharon is survived by her sons Brian (Annette) of New Smyrna Beach, FL ; Mark (Susan) of Chuluota, FL; and two grandsons, Justin and Adam Fricke both of Nashville, TN. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Spring Hills ALF and Vitas Hospice for their loving care and support.
