Shirley R. Dodson, 85, of Orlando, Fl., passed away on April 7, 2020. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, she moved to Central Florida in 1959.
Shirley was a very successful realtor and spend more than 40 years in the business before retiring. She was one of the first realtors for Watson Realtor for Central Florida amongst many other realtors and had her own company also. She was the first female President of the Seminole County Board of Realtors, she taught Real Estate Law, volunteered with the Legal Aid Society and was an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau. Shirley is survived by her sons, Bruce and his wife, Erlinda Hartman, Joseph and his wife Molly Potter, Bryan “Scott” Hartman; her brothers, Bob and his wife, Sandra Rice and Charlie and his wife, Kris Rice; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Loyal Dodson; son, David Hartman and brother, Fred Rice. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and current gathering regulations, a small service for immediate family only will be conducted.
