

In 1968 the family moved to Ruskin, Florida then to Apollo Beach. Tim attended East Bay High School, Tampa for one year then transferred to Forest Lake Academy in Apopka, a Seventh-day Adventist High School where he grew in his relationship with God, made lifelong friends and developed his leadership skills.
After graduation in 1975, he attended Southern Missionary College (now Southern Adventist University) graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. One week later, he married the love of his life, Shiree Diane Albers in Des Moines, Iowa.
Tim was a pastor beginning in Wichita, KS then Garden City, KS before moving to Davie, FL. His ministry continued in Florida in Plantation then Orlando before moving into pastoral leadership positions in the Central Florida area and then at the state level. He was Executive Pastor at Forest Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church in Apopka at the time of his death on March 24, 2024, after an eighteen-month battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex Nichols and sister, Penney Nichols. He is survived by his wife, Shiree, sons Michael (Sabely) of Montrose, CO, Ben (Madoka) of Tokyo, Japan, mother, Joyce Nichols of Apopka, sister and brother-in-love Rene and Victor Czerkasij of Cleveland, TN, and nephews Alexander and Nikolaus Czerkasij of Chattanooga, TN.
