Veronica Lee Harvey

Veronica (Roni) Harvey, age 64, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015. She was born on February 1, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. After completing her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 1989, in history and criminal justice, she attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, and graduated with her law degree in 1996. She was a partner in the Longwood firm of Meier, Bonner, Muszynski, O’Dell & Harvey P.A. She was also a Florida Certified Arbitrator/Mediator, a former Orlando Police Officer, and a Member of the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. She also served as a member of the Defense Lawyers Association and Florida Association of Police Attorneys. She was licensed in both Florida and North Carolina. She was the author of three novels and in her spare time, she was devoted to animal rights, feral cat rescue organizations, owl watchers, creative writing, human rights and her many, many FaceBook friends. Roni was the beloved mother of William Augustine Dingee III, of Mesa, Arizona, and Lema Dingee. She was the daughter of George Walter Ewing, Deloris Getz and Step Father Richard Getz, (all deceased). She was the sister of Deborah (Kurt) Ruthenbeck, George W. Ewing III (deceased), Kenneth (Debbie) Ewing, Kitty (Joey) Csokasy, Loretta Dobbins, Roger (Linda) Getz, Rick Getz (deceased) and Rita Getz. Aunt to Krista Taylor, Mike Ewing, Kalina Oliver, Gage Dobbins, Jaime, Kalynn & Angela Ewing, Melody O’Seadna & Brian Getz. Great Aunt to Levi Taylor, Aiven Oliver, Libby Winnell & Pax O’Seadna. She is also survived by special friends Atheseus Lockhart of Orlando, and Thomas Sabo of Napa Valley, CA. Please join us for a “celebration of life” memorial service, to be held at the Baldwin Fairchild Lake Ivanhoe Chapel, 301 NE Ivanhoe Blvd. Orlando, FL , on Saturday, January 31, at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on her behalf to the American Cancer Society, or to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
