Yvonne Marie Williams

Yvonne Marie Roddy Williams, 91, of Winter Park, entered into the kingdom of Heaven on July 8, 2026. She was born in Houma, Louisiana on July 12, 1934. Yvonne graduated from Terrebonne High School. She moved to Hawaii to marry Joe Champagne and became a stay-at-home mom raising her 2 boys. They moved often while Joe was in the Navy and she bowled on the Navy Wives Bowling League. In 1965 she settled in Jacksonville where she worked for Watson Realty, and received her Real Estate and Sales Certificate from the Florida School of Real Estate. She loved her family and enjoyed taking her kids on trips back to Louisiana every summer. Around 1970 she moved to Winter Park and received a Certificate of Achievement in Mortgage Financing from Rollins College. Yvonne worked in mortgage finance for a while before returning to real estate and marrying AB Williams Jr. Together they had several successful businesses.

Yvonne enjoyed planning parties and being social. She loved holidays, her son Rodney’s cooking, and collecting all things Christmas. She loved playing cards with friends, spending time out in the yard taking care of her plants, and always had a home improvement project in the works. Yvonne was very knowledgeable about many things and was always happy to give advice. She was very loved by those close to her and lived a full life.

Yvonne is survived by her two sons Randall (Noemi) Champagne and Rodney Champagne, one grandson Robert (Sarah) Champagne, one Brother Nolan “Sonny” (Patsy) Roddy Jr., two sisters Holyn “Boo” Cole and Gerardine “School” Hebert, and many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband AB Williams Jr., father Nolan Roddy Sr., mother Ruby Giroir Roddy, two sisters Nell “Stuff” Lyons and Mary Ann Callahan, and one daughter-in-law Evelyn “Evie” Buchanan Champagne.

A celebration of Yvonne’s life will be held on her birthday, Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in East Altamonte Springs, FL. Friends and family will be received at 10:30 and service will begin at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital which was near and dear to her heart.
