Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home. Celebration services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Arturo Meza officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Alfredo was born Jan. 29, 1925, in Lockhart to Andres and Ferminia Rodriguez. He grew up in and around the Lockhart area. He married Guadalupe DeLa Cruz. Above all, he was a family man.

He loved working with his hands, fishing, arts and crafts, and playing pool, dominoes and bingo. He attended Sacred Heart Church in Plainview.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Guadalupe; four sons, Alfredo D. Jr. and wife Carmela Rodriguez of Rosenberg, Edward Rodriguez of Amarillo, Robert D. and wife Sylvia Rodriguez of Tulia, and Anthony D. and wife Mary of Brownsville; four daughters, Erma D. and husband Mike Perez of Amarillo, Rose Morales of Cresson, Ana Marie and husband Tom Jordan of Fountain, Colo., and Dorothy and husband Danny Jones of San Antonio; 25 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests donations be to Odyssey Hospice, 7201 Evans St., Amarillo, TX 79106.

Pallbearers will be Tom Vanzee, Mike Perez IV, Brandon Perez, Steve Bunney, Joseph Salazar, Eric Ramos, Edward Rodriguez and Eric Rodriguez.

Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Perez III.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home
