Aremilda (June) Sterling, 85, of Amarillo passed away on Friday January 3, 2020 at her residence.

Family and friends will gather in the Memorial Park Funeral Home's Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40 on Wednesday, January 08, 2020 from 5pm to 7pm for visitation. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 09, 2020 at 10am in the Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum Chapel with Glen McCathern officiating.

She was born in Stinnett, TX on August 25, 1934 to Preston N Johnson and Minnie Margaret Johnson. She was married 52 years to Bill Sterling. Mrs. Sterling was an avid crafter. She loved music, was able to play piano by ear and enjoyed playing at church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and sharing her love of God to others. She loved her roses and enjoyed gardening. She always had 2 green thumbs.

Survivors include daughter Patricia Anderson of Amarillo, daughter Paula McCarley and husband Clay of Alice, son Preston Haberman and fiancée Kelly Ann of Amarillo, daughter Nina Haberman-Jones of Elephant Butte New Mexico, son Billy Sterling and wife Tasha of Austin, brother Jimmie Johnson of Ames OK, sister Betty of Dumas, TX, sister Sue Gilliam of Chickasha, OK, numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchild, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Sterling, son Rusty Haberman, and several siblings.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Visiting Angels of Amarillo, St. Judes Children’s Hospital or Shiner’s Hospital.
