Armando "Rattler" Mendoza, age 73, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Rattler enjoyed being helpful to his family and friends. He would spend his days outside and sharing his knowledge of classic cars. He took pleasure in riding his bike around town. He was always first to protect his wife and daughters. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Although he rarely got frustrated you could always tell by his colorful vocabulary, he would say 'Oh Criminy".
He loved every minute of his life. Matthew 19:21 says "If you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give to the poor and you will have treasure in Heaven". He has found his treasure in Heaven.
He is preceded in death by his wife Susan Goepfert who passed on June 17, 2017 and a granddaughter Brooklyn Noel who passed on July 4, 2004 and a son-in-law Estevan Rodriguez who passed on September 2, 2021.
He is survived by his children: Keath Garrison, Erica White and husband Randy, Tiffany Barnes, Brittney Sanchez and Autumn Sanchez. Fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a host of friends.
