Aurora H. Padilla, 88 years old, passed peacefully in her sleep on April 8, 2022 in Amarillo, TX. Services will be held Tuesday April12, 2022 at St Matthew United Methodist, 1631 S Roberts. Family will receive friends Monday April 11, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East.
She was born May 8, 1933 in Amarillo to Solomon and Conferina Valverde. She was married to Eligio C. Padilla for 71 years. She worked as a pre-K teacher at the Wesley Community Center for three to four years.
She is survived by her husband Eligio C. Padilla, and three sons, Eddy Padilla and wife Aida, Paul Padilla and wife Elvira, and Mario Padilla and wife Angie, three daughters, Rosario Teresa Mendoza and husband Leon, Lydia Renteria and husband Marcos, Yolanda Chavez and husband Jim. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and one sister Patricia Martinez, and a brother Carlos Valverde.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Cristobal Valverde, Frank Valverde, and Gilbert Valverde and one sister Lupe Valverde
