Beatrice Powers

Beatrice Leone Hillock Powers was born on April 3rd, 1935 in Leverett, Massachusetts to George and Daisy Black Hillock, the youngest of 7 children. She attended grade school in Leverett and High School in Amherst, Massachusetts. She was a member of Morse Corner Church. She married Edward J. Powers on June 30, 1951. They resided in Leverett until 1965 when they moved to Castile, New York where they attended Bible College. After graduation in 1968 they were excepted with a Mission in Glouster, Massachusetts and opened a church in Farley, New Mexico and were there until 1979 when they moved to Amarillo, Texas where she attended Amarillo College. She worked for Elizabeth Jane Bivins Home for 15 years before retiring in 1998. She is a member of Family Life Church.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of 40 years, Edward Powers, 2 daughters – Grace Russo and Viola Parker, 1 daughter-in-law – Diane Powers, 2 grandsons – David Russo and Sean Childs, her parents, 3 sisters – Bertha Browning, Dorothy Stone and Daisy Williams.

Survivors include 1 sister – Hazel Moore of Northfield, Mass, 2 sons – James Powers & wife Joy of Waxahachie, TX and Mark Powers of Spring, TX, 2 daughters – Cynthia Childs & husband Ernest of Ooltewah, TN and Teresa White & husband Jack of Tucumcari, NM. Eleven grandchildren, 30 great children and several great great grandchildren many nieces and nephews.

Loved being in church with her -
Loved having her in our Life Group - but most of all -
