He was born in Plainview, Texas on May 5, 1942.
He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1961.He was ranked SP4 in the Army and served for 6 years.
He served in Puerto Rico during the Cuban Missile Crisis.He partnered with his father in a Cement Contracting Business.He was a General Foreman for Bell Helicopter for 35 years.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. One of his greatest passions were his grandkids. He loved spending time with them and watching them grow and play.
He loved his family and was a helper and friend to many who knew him.
He loved to play softball and football, as well as watching the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. In high school he played football and baseball.He was a master builder and accomplished auto mechanic.He was married for 58 years to his loving wife Rita Tonguet Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Wilson of Amarillo, Texas,His daughter Tonya Wilson Strickland and husband Allan of McKinney, Texas; His son Brent Wilson and wife Kim, of Euless, Texas; His grandchildren: Ryan Wilson and Andrea, Courtney Cunningham, Hannah Barber, and Trevor Bradley and his wife Eden; and Five Great Grandchildren: Rhett, Hudson, Colt, Preston, and Rosalie. His sister Linda Fansler and husband, Owen;His brother, Kenny Wilson and wife, Denise,and many nieces and nephews and his sweet dog, Baylee.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Minnie Francis Williams and Ben J Wilson. His brothers: Roy Wilson, Gary Wilson, and Curtis Wilson, and his sister Helen Bryan.
