She was born March 7, 1932 in Oakwood, Texas to John Howard and Lila Mae Lewellyn.
Throughout her 90 years, Betty worked as a baker and a county clerk, but her favorite job was that of a homemaker and mother then grandmother and great grandmother. Betty loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren so so much.
She is survived by her 6 children; David Allen Bailey and wife Terry of Fulton, Alabama, Shirley Ann Bailey of Conroe, Texas, Christine Louise Murphy of Amarillo, Texas, Brenda Gail Malcom of South Bend, Indiana, Ceola Mae Urbieta of Terrell, Texas, and George F. Barenscheer Jr. of Terrell, Texas, 19 grandchildren, 33 great- grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews, multiple great-nieces and nephews, numerous “adopted kids” because everyone was family and always had a home with Betty.
She is preceded in death by her husband; George F. Barenscheer (the first), her son James Ray, and her parents; Lila Mae and John Howard Lewellyn, as well as 2 grandchildren and many beloved sisters, brothers, and their wonderful spouses.
Betty will be missed by both her family and friends.
